Abstract Water treatment of river water is generally carried out conventionally, a rapid sand filter consisting coagulation unit, flocculation, sedimentation, and filtration. One the disadvantages filters that it requires large volume for washing, inconsistent quality, escape microorganisms less than 0.01 mm in size. Membrane technology can solve this problem with advantages including more compact unit larger surface area per volume. The immersed membrane has another advantage possible to integrate sedimentation units so save land. This paper will study comparison performance microfiltration two drinking plants. method based on technical specification, capacity, quality performance. results show filtrate better filter. Overall pore size 0.05 µm had removal efficiency E. Coli was 100%, turbidity 93 %, TSS 100%. Organic permanganate value 37%, Microplastics 81.5%, whereas 0.07 99.8%, 52.9 17.6%, 37.1%. productivity membranes significant filters. WWTP Ngagel Siwalan Panji.
